How-to connect the Link 2500 / iSMP4 Pinpad to the internet.

This how-to article will show you how to connect an iSMP4 to your local network.

  • First you will need to get into the settings menu.

- First try hitting the “F” key to see if it promts for a password.

-If it does prompt for a password, Enter “CCMerchant” using T9.

-If it does not prompt for a password this means this is an older

model iSMP4. For this case you will press F767 in quick succession.

-If the settings menu appear try again, but faster.

  • Once you are in the settings menu scroll (using F2 & F3) to the wifi properties.

-Select “Scan for a Network” look for the network you are trying to

connect to, select and enter the password using T9.

  • After connecting the terminal will reboot.

 

  • If “Scan for a Network” came back with no results, try “Add a WIFI Profile“ under the option to scan.

-Enter in the Wifi network name and password in using T9.

-The iSMP4 will establish the connection and reboot.

  • When it loads back up test a sale to see if the pinpad is prompted.
