After entering clicking Save the gift card will become an invoice line on the transaction.
Manually Creating or Editing Gift Cards
To manually create a gift card or edit the amount on existing gift cards use the following instructions. This method can be used to create virtual gift cards. This is useful for giving store credit without using a physical card. The card number can be anything you enter in although a customer's phone number is most commonly used for ease of remembering the number.
Go to Loyalty Web Page
Then click on the Login.
Use the email created in the POS with the Pinogy password: QWs! to login to the Loyalty page.
Go to the Gift Card Tab.
A new window opens. Click on the "New" button in the bottom right.
Scan the barcode on the Gift Card into the field "Card #." Enter the information into: "Amount," "Reason" and "Expires In." Then click on the "Submit" button to save.
Your Gift Card will now display on the main Gift Card screen.
To change the balance of a gift card click on the pencil icon under actions.
Update the information for the card and then click on the "Submit" button to finalize.
Redeeming a Gift Card
To redeem a gift card, ring up a sale as normal. When you get to the payment screen select Gift Card or whatever it was named during the payment setup above in this guide. It will prompt for the Gift Card number. If there is a physical gift card then it can be scanned to enter its barcode. If it is a virtual gift card then type in the number that was used for it. After the gift card’s number is entered in whether by scanning or typing click the Ok button and the amount specified will be deducted from the gift card’s balance. If it is not enough to fully cover the balance due you may have to use an additional payment method. Click Finish when done.
