Star TSP 100 Configuration(Windows)

This article explains how to install and configure an Star TSP 100 receipt printer connected via USB for use with Pinogy POS.

Instructions

  1. Download the Printer Driver. The current version is 7.7 and can be downloaded from this site.

  2. After downloading the .exe for the file. The file will be named “tsp100_V770_setup.EXE” Navigate to where ever you have downloaded the file and launch the exe. Follow the prompts when it asks.

  3. Open Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners and find the printer named Star TSP Cutter (TSP143) and click Manage.

  4. Select Printer Properties

  5. Click on the “Device Settings” tab

    1. Select “Document Cut Type”, click the drop down arrow and select “No Cut”

    2. Click Ok

    3. If a message box comes up, check the checkbox and click yes and then click Ok when the next box comes up

  6. Open the Cash Register application

    1. Go to Settings

    2. Select the “Star TSP Cutter (TSP143)” printer from the dropdown.

Your Cash Drawer pops through the receipt printer, so make sure your Drawer Kick (“DK”) cable is connected between your receipt printer and the cash drawer.

If you can’t find the printer in step 3, you most likely will have to restart your computer

Common Questions & Answers

The printer settings are locked, to unlock the settings, click “Change Properties” and press yes when the prompt comes up.

One of the printer settings is causing this to happen. To fix this, Follow these steps…

  1. Open Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners and find the printer named Star TSP Cutter (TSP143) and click Manage.

  2. Select Printer Properties.

  3. Select the “TSP100 Config” tab and click “Launch Configuration Application”

  4. Click Eco Settings and press the drop down arrow for “Paper width used” and select “80mm (Do Not Compress)”

  5. Click “Apply Changes” and then click “Close”
