How to change the location of a device in the Pinogy POS

This article is for anyone who needs to know how to change the location setting of a device in the Pinogy POS.

 

Sometimes a device may need to be used at a different location. This could be someone who handles multiple stores bringing their laptop with them or a computer that needs to replace a broken register on short notice.

 

To change the location :

  1. Open Settings and Configuration on the computer to be moved.

  2. It will default to the Devices button so there select the device to be moved. If it is not checked, check the Show Only This Device check box to narrow the list to that device quickly.

  3. Either double-click the Device or highlight and click Manage.

  4. In the Location dropdown menu select the Location the device needs to be moved to.

  5. Click Save when done.

 

After clicking Save you will get the following Popup window. Click OK to continue.

 

If the Cash Register module has an open tray you will get the following error. You will have to close the tray to continue.

After the tray is closed repeat steps 1-5 above.
