Combining Duplicate Customer Accounts in Astro

A customer having multiple accounts in Astro can cause issues with receiving rebates and rewards from Astro. To correct this, you will want to merge the customer’s accounts on Astro.

 

Go to astroloyalty.com and log in with the credentials as provided to you by Astro.

Go to Actions and in the drop-down select “Combine Duplicate Pet Owner Accounts”.

On the Combine Duplicate Pet Owner Accounts page, search for the associated customer. The page will display any matching accounts. Select the accounts to be combined, with the first account selected being primary (the account the other accounts will be combined into).

You will want the primary account to be the one with the Astro ID that matches the Astro ID of the customer’s account in the Point of Sale.

Click on “Combine Customers”

We recommend that after combining customers on Astro, that you unlink and then re-link the customer in the Point Of Sale to ensure that their customer entry in the Point Of Sale is linked to the correct Astro account.

In the Point of Sale, in the Customer section, search for the appropriate customer.

On the customer’s page, select the Astro tab and then click the Unlink button.

Once the account has been unlinked, click the Link button and then follow the steps to re-link the account in the Point Of Sale to the appropriate Astro account.
