How run a report in Cash Register

This article is for anyone who needs to run a report in the cash register module.

 

Please note that some levels of employees will not be able to see the reports. It is usually meant for shift leads, clerks, assistant managers, or higher level employees.

 

To run a report :

  1. If not already open, open the Cash Register module and click on Reports.

  2. Select the report you wish to run.

  3. If there are multiple stores use the Location drop-down to select the store you need to run. Running the report for all stores is also an option.

  4. Select the time Period. if you choose custom you can select a specifictime period using the calendar menus.

  5. Click Generate Report when done.

 

 

The reports will generate either a pdf or xls file depending on which one you choose.

A report that does not have (xls) at the end of its name will generate a pdf file. The pdf will then open in your default pdf file viewer.

 

The report with (xls) in their name will generate a xls file when run. An xls file will be viewable in a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel or LibreOffice Calc.
