Pinogy POS Training Guide: Pet Tracker - Pets
Under the Pets button in Pet Tracker is where you can perform Pet Management.
Use this field to Search for a particular pet.
If you have multiple locations, you can set which locations will be displayed.
You can set the desired Status of pets to be displayed.
Pets will be displayed here.
Smart Lines can be enabled here.
Smart Export can be enabled here.
Smart Table Settings can be set here.
Select New to add a new pet.
Select your Pet Type from the drop-down list.
Select your Breeder from the drop-down. A new Breeder can be added by clicking the ellipsis (…).
Select your Broker from the drop-down. A new Broker can be added by clicking the ellipsis (…).
Select your Transporter, if applicable, from the drop-down. A new Transporter can be added by clicking the ellipsis (…).
Select the Breed Name from the drop-down. A new Breed Name can be added by clicking the ellipsis (…).
Select the Birth Date.
Set the default Status from the drop-down.
Define the Sex, Color/Markings, Price, Cost, Microchip, Identifiers, Registration Number, and Band if applicable.
If the pet is part of a litter, click the + to add litter mates.
Click Save.
Once a Pet has been added to Pet Tracker, it can be managed.
This is the Pet ID that is generated upon creation of the Pet. This is an internal identifier which cannot be changed, much like the SKU in the Products module.
Status can be set here by clicking the drop-down.
If you have multiple locations, this field will show where this pet is located.
A name can be assigned to the Pet. Clicking the button will auto-generate a name.
Under the Paperwork tab, you can set which documents (and how many) will be generated at Creation of the Pet, Pre Sale of the Pet, or Post Sale of the Pet.
Documents can be added by clicking Add.
The History tab will show the history of the Pet.
Notes tab:
Pet Specific Notes can be entered here. These notes would pertain only to the selected pet.
Litter Wide Notes entered here would show on all litter mates.
Badges pertain to icon displayed on your Available Pets web page. Some examples include Apartment Friendly, Child Friendly, Hypoallergenic, etc.
Marketing text templates can be created here to be displayed on your Available Pets web page. For example, 'This lovely {SEX} {BREED} can be taken home today!” would display as “This lovely Female Cavachon can be taken home today!” on your site.
Pricing tab:
Cost is the that you paid for the pet.
Price is the selling price of the pet.
If a Sale Price as been entered, this price will override Price at the register when selling the pet.
Medical tab:
Any Treatments given to the pet will be displayed here.
Other Treatments can be added by clicking Add and selecting a Treatment.
Any Conditions will be displayed here.
Other Conditions can be added by clicking Add and selecting a Condition.
Exam information will be displayed here.
Veterinarian Exam information can be added by clicking Add.
Enter your pet’s weight.
The current weight will be added to the list.
Registrations tab:
Registrations will be displayed here.
New and additional Registrations can be added by clicking Add.
Litter tab:
The pet you are managing as well as all litter mates will be displayed here.
Breeder Info tab:
Breeder, Broker, and Transporter are displayed here.
Media tab:
Images and video can be displayed on your pets.
Select the file from your hard drive, crop, and save. These images and video can be displayed on your Available Pets web page.
Custom Fields tab:
If set up under Settings, Custom Fields can be added for your pet and will be displayed here.
Click Add to add Custom Fields.
Selling a Pet:
It is recommended that the Cash Register module be opened in order to sell pets from this page.
To sell a Pet, highlight the pet in Available Status and click Sell Now.
If the Pet is in Sold Status, Return Now will be the option available.
In this example, we are going to sell Pet ID 15.
Highlight the pet.
Click Sell Now.
The pet and any associated Add Ons will be added to the sale. Add your customer information and process the sale as any other.
Once the sale is complete, paperwork will be generated in PDF format for you to print and provide to your customer.
The sold pet will now be in a Sold status.
