New Features and Enhancements

  • User Account Verification

    • When a user creates a website account, the system now checks the POS for existing user accounts with a matching email address or phone number. If a match is found, the user is guided through an account claim process, and the existing POS user account is updated with the web account username instead of creating a duplicate account.

    • This ensures data integrity by preventing duplicate user accounts and provides a seamless user experience during website account creation. This also removes the need to manually merge user accounts in the POS.

  • Guest Checkout Option

    • There is now a guest checkout option for customers on e-commerce websites. This option allows customers to purchase without requiring that they log in first.

  • Configurable Promotions Carousel

    • The promotions carousel can now be configured to either display individually custom promotions, Astro Offers, or Astro Frequent Buyer or a combination of them instead of always showing all promotions.

Minor Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Automatic Shopping Cart Cleanup

    • Shopping carts with no activity for 45 days will now get cleaned up automatically.

    • This maintains a cleaner and more efficitient system by removing inactive shopping carts.

  • Improved E-Commerce Sales Tracking

    • E-commerce sales will not always be shown under the website address for the user and device.

    • This enhances the accuracy and clarity of sales tracking.
