How to create a Category

This article is for anyone who needs to know how to make a category for their products.

To make a category, do the following:

1. Open the Products module.

2. Click on the Settings button.

3. Click the Categories tab.

4. Click the +New button.

This will open a manage Category window where you can set up the category.

1. Set the Category’s name. If you don’t have a Pinogy E-commerce Website, then you can jump to step seven.

2. Check the Featured check box if you have an e-commerce website and want this category to be featured in the featured category carousel.

3. Check the Public check box if you want it to appear on the website. If you want this category to remain hidden from the website, leave it unchecked.

4. Type in a marketing header for the category that will show up on the website.

5. Type in a descriptive paragraph or more information that will show up on the website.

6. Pictures to go with the category can be added on the media tab.

7. Click Save when done.

After the category is created, you can add products to it by managing a product and using the Category drop-down menu.
