How to create a Quickbooks Online integration and Resync an existing Quickbooks Online integration

This article is for anyone who needs to create and setup a Quickbooks Online integration or resync an existing Quickbooks Online integration.

 

Pinogy POS allows Quickbooks Online integration for accounting purposes. Due to this connecting to Quickbooks servers you may need to establish the connection and resync after the integration is made.

 

 

To create the Quickbooks Online integration:

  1. Open and log in to the Settings and Configuration module.

  2. Click the Add Ons button.

  3. Click the New Add Ons tab.

  4. Select the Quickbooks Online add-on.

  5. Click the Details button.
    This will open the Manage Quickbooks Online window.

  6. In the Manage Quickbooks Online, Click on the Authentication tab.

  7. In the Intuit window enter your Email or User ID and then click the Sign In button. It should then prompt for the password to complete sign-in. Make sure to have it set to Remember Me.

  8. If the Intuit sign-in page does not load right click in the empty window and choose Reload from the menu that will appear. This will have it try to reload the Intuit sign in page. Once it loads go back to step 7 to continue sign in.

     

  9. Next, click on the Configure tab.

  10. Under Location select the location you want to use this integration for If you have multiple locations.

     

  11. Under Record as select whether you want to record as Net or Gross & Discount.

  12. Use the Enable Classes checkbox to turn Classes on or off.

     

  13. Under Product Type, you can have certain Categories be reported separately for the different product categories. All of the dropdowns in this section will list your product categories to be selected for separate reporting.

     

  14. When done making all changes, click Create. This will create the integration and the POS will start sending your data to Quickbooks Online.

     

 

After the integration has been made you may need to Resync it especially if you have changed your password for Quickbooks Online.

To Resync Quickbooks Online:

  1. Open and log in to the Settings and Configuration module.

  2. Click the Add Ons button.

  3. Select the Quickbooks Online add-on for the location you need to sync.

  4. Click the Manage button.
    This will open the Manage Quickbooks Online window.

  5. Click the Authentication Tab.

  6. In the Intuit window enter your Email or User ID and then click the Sign In button. It should then prompt for the password to complete sign-in. Make sure to have it set to Remember Me.

  7. After sign-in is successful click Save. This will complete the resync.

     

  8. If the Intuit Sign-In window does not load, right-click in the empty window and then click Reload from the menu that will appear. This will have it try to reload the Intuit sign-in page. Once it loads go back to step 6 to continue signing in.
