Adding Media to Pet Tracker.

The article is for anyone who needs to know how to add images or videos to Pet Tracker.

It is important to add images or video for your animals so that they show up on your website or for your own records. It is easy to do. First you will need to take pictures with some type of camera (preferably digital whether standalone or as part of a cell phone) and then load them onto your computer. However you get them onto your computer you will then need to load Pet Tracker and then add them to the animal’s media. For today's example we will use images of a bird. Videos will work the same way but are currently limited to 10 seconds or less.

First, select the animal in Pet Tracker. There is a Media column that will show how many images or videos are currently present. Double click or select and then click manage to start editing the animal's information.

Go to the Media tab and click Select File

Navigate your operating system’s file system to the location of the pictures. You may be able to go straight to your camera device if it is connected properly.

Select the image or video you want to add and then click Open.

The image will appear and you will need to adjust the cropping to select the portion of the picture you want to display. The smallest size will be 400x400. Click Crop and Save when done.

The image will appear in the Media tab window Make sure it looks correct and matches the animal. The red X will let you delete the image. The pencil will take you back to the Crop and Save window. Click the green Save button when done.

The image will now show on the website and the media column will increase to however many pictures or videos you added.

This should help you get the images on to Pet Tracker. If you run into issues with the images loading sideways please refer to the following guide :
