This article is for anyone who needs to export their data from the Square Up POS so it can be imported into the Pinogy POS.
Visit Items in your online Square Dashboard > Items.
Click Actions > Export at the top-right > Confirm Export.
Select between Excel (.xlsx) or CSV format. A spreadsheet will then download to your computer.
Send the created file to support@pinogy.com or your Implementations Speciallist.
Go to Customers > Customers from your online Square Dashboard.
Click Directory.
Click Export Customers and choose to export All Customers or Specific Groups.
Click Export.
Send the created file to support@pinogy.com or your Implementations Speciallist
Visit transactions in your online Square Dashboard > Transactions.
Set the date range you want to export sales of in date selector in top left corner. max one year is allowed at a time
Click Export at the top-right > Transaction CSV and Items Details csv.
A spreadsheet will then download to your computer. For larger data, the data will be split into multiple file and downloaded as a compressed zip file.

Square Gift Card’s can be used with Pinogy POS, but as they are not scannable, the full 16 digit number must be entered manually. To retrieve gift card numbers out of Square, the store needs to contact Square’s Support Team to request the full digit gift cards. If there are only a few gift cards, the last four digits can be seen under the Gift Cards section. Those can be entered prefixing SG to each and used that way. Just be mindful of any collisions that would preclude this option. |
