This article is for anyone who wants to toggle Automatic Receipt Printing on and off.

Sometimes customers don’t want a receipt. If you want to give them the option to be asked about a receipt then you can turn off the option to automatically print the receipt.

To do this :

  1. Open Settings and Configuration.

  2. Click on the Locations tab.

  3. Select the location you want to adjust. You will need to do this for each location.

  4. Either double-click the location or click Manage.

  5. In the Manage Location window click the Receipts tab

  6. Uncheck or check the Print Itemized Receipt Automatically check box to toggle it on or off.

  7. Click Save

When turned off the cashier will need to ask and then hit the Print Now button to print a paper receipt. Email addresses to send the receipts to will not be affected and can still be entered in and sent to as normal. Close the window when done with the sale
